Artist Bio: Angela Schleihauf
Angela Schleihauf is an Ottawa-based musician, sound designer, and composer. Currently, she is working on composing music and sound design for The Secret Weapon of Blindness in collaboration with storyteller Kim Kilpatrick (supported by the Canada Council for the Arts and the Ottawa Music Industry Coalition). Theatre credits include The Revolutionists (Three Sisters Productions), Cercles Polaires (The Rideau Project), and BethAnne (Undercurrents Festival) as well as original compositions for GCTCʼs 2020 production of Bang Bang and Raising Stanley/Life with Tulia. She received the Great Canadian Theatre Companyʼs Shannon Reynolds Memorial Award for an internship in sound design during the 2018–2019 season. As a live performer on oboe and vocals, she has toured in Canada, Sweden, and South Korea, and can be heard on Three Little Birdsʼ self-titled album, and Wood of Ypresʼ Juno award-winning album Grey Skies and Electric Lights.
