Meewasin Sakebow

Artist Bio: Meewasin Sakebow

Tansi-Hello Meewasin Sakebow, is a Cree woman from the Treaty 6 area in Saskatchewan. She is very new to the beading world, her beading career started in 2017.

She was taught by her adopted mother, learning to do earrings with a single needle to doing larger projects with the two needle technique. She is a self employed artist who takes beading orders big and small. She has used beadwork to express herself as a type of therapy. She has become known for her custom popsockets, medallions and jewelry sets.

Meewasin has been dedicated on making her beadwork to become more mainstream and to be seen as the luxury it is. She has worked hard to not only learn new techniques or beading, but help others learn to bead. She not only sells her beadwork but 'Starter Kits' to help others. If you are looking to place an order please feel free to direct message me on my personal Facebook page: Meywasin-Dawn Sakebow or email:
